Eternal Voyage (Part II)

Prologue - Part I was a narration of how two strangers met unexpectedly in a journey by train and how they got to know each other.
This one narrates the end of that journey by train and reveals what those strangers really turned into.

Train finally reached at my destination,
I got off the train with little hesitation.
Too many thoughts were racing in my brain,
Whether I would get to meet this person again.

We both were sad as it was time to say goodbye,
She too had to reach her destination in limited time.
Dismally waved my hand to wish 'Bon Voyage' to my companion,
I was praying to God, that again I may get to meet this champion.

As soon as the train left, I unlocked my mobile
Opened Facebook and searched for her profile
Failed to find her account, searched for it again,
Ah, No luck and cursed myself for not doing that in train.

Everything was changed in a moment,
Now things were not looking that vibrant,
But nothing could be done about that damage,
So sadly left the station and moved to my cottage.

What could have been done, if it was written in fate,
I was wondering, would she be feeling the same.
Probably all this was just air castle I unnecessarily build,
Hoping she will contact me and left everything at God's will.

Accepted how things really were, I put a fake smile,
And quietly jumped back to my monotonous lifestyle.
That was just momentary blissfulness that didn't last for long,
But that's how life is, and we have to move on.

  1. This poem was also an example of momentary blissfulness, as sadly d poem could not last forever. Great work. Keep writing to provide us with more instances of momentary blissfulness🤗
